Weather Outlook 17th September 2019 (noon)

  • Outlook

Unstable conditions are forecast to be across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the rest of today and tomorrow.  Therefore, the chance for some light to moderate showers across SVG remains high.

Residents near rivers and streams and in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides should remain alert.

Thursday is forecast to be dry and warm. Meanwhile, the tropical wave located over the Central Atlantic has been upgraded to tropical depression number 10. The Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the progress of this system as it tracks northwestward across the Atlantic.

Fresh east to east south-easterly (E-ESE) winds (20km/h-40km/h) will continue to blow with higher gust near showers. A decrease in wind speeds are anticipated around Thursday. Sea conditions are forecast to be slight to moderate (1.0m-2.3m). Further improvement to 1.5m on the east coast should be noticeable by Thursday. No significant haze intrusion is expected within this forecast period.
