The High Pressure System is dominant, but an approaching a mid-level trough across our area tonight could result in isolated showers due to dry air at the mid to upper levels.

The area of disturbed weather midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles is being monitored,

as the High Pressure System could be weakened around Monday by another low pressure area deepening in the Northern Atlantic. Models project that the disturbed area which is to the east of island chain could become an open wave by early Tuesday. A few showers within lower level trough/tropical waves should be crossing the islands; one such expected overnight, another late Monday into Tuesday (especially Grenadines). As the area of concern edges closer to the islands, scattered showers could be supported an upper level low and trough by late Tuesday. The axis of the area of concern should approach the islands Friday… being monitored.

Moderate to fresh trades from the east north-east can be expected this afternoon. A decrease in wind speeds late Monday into Tuesday is likely due to approaching instability and gentle breeze is possible late Wednesday while veering to east south east..

Barometric Pressure should range 1014mb - 1016mb falling slightly by Monday afternoon to range 1012 - 1014mb. A gradual rise (1013mb - 1015mb) is expected by late Wednesday.

Gradual increase is expected with swells becoming moderate on both west and east coast (1.5-2.0m) due effect of increased wind across the ocean. Sea conditions should return to slight to moderate by Monday/Tuesday. Occasional slight haze should continue across our islands over next few days
