The Flood WATCH is being discontinued for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as the unstable conditions are lifting from our area. While the upper levels are drying across our area and becoming subsident, a mid- level trough could bring some moisture across our area this afternoon into Wednesday with few scattered showers. Daytime heating along with gentle winds could result in isolated thunderstorm activity
by afternoon. The Southern-Grenadines can expect enhanced shower activity late Wednesday, but drying of our atmosphere across SVG should be noticeable Thursday.
An area of low pressure near 18N 53W is expected to deepen north-east of island chain in a couple days, pulling moisture (northward) away from our area.
By early Friday some moisture could drift southward across our area as a weak shear line fades across the Windward Islands, yet no significant rainfall accumulations are expected.
Expect gentle to moderate (10 - 25km/h) east south-easterly breeze this afternoon, temporarily veering to south-easterly Thursday afternoon. Moderate breeze backing to east north-easterly can be expected late Friday.
A 1040mb Atlantic High Pressure in the far North Atlantic is weakening as a broad area of low pressure deepens several hundred miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. There is a low (less than 20%) chance for tropical or subtropical development as it meanders over the central Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile mean sea level (MSL) readings across our area should be ranging 1010 – 1012 mb.
Good visibility is expected and slight to moderate seas should reduce to slight by tonight, ranging 0.5m -1.2m across SVG for next few days.
