The Atlantic High Pressure is building across the islands. A few showers are possible overnight with some moisture converging across our area. Noticeably, fresh breeze should increase to strong (40 - 50km/h) easterlies, occasionally gusting to moderate (55km/h) gale strength. These brisk winds should continue on Friday with some
moisture/showers moving across our area. A slight reduction to fresh (30 -40km/h) east south-easterly breeze is expected on Saturday bring along scattered showers.
The hazy conditions could temporarily thin-out during Thursday afternoon, but dust concentrations across our area should result in slight haze with varying intensity until late Saturday.
Mean Sea level Pressure readings should be rising with building High pressure to fluctuate between 1012mb and 1016mb towards the weekend.
Moderate seas on the west coasts could peak near 2.5m; while on the east coasts seas peaking near 3.0m over the next few days. A Small craft warning is in effect for these above normal easterly sea swells and brisk winds. A gradual reduction in wind speeds should be noticeable by Saturday and wave heights by Saturday evening

A tropical wave interacting with an upper-level low continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms over portions of the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and the adjacent waters. Development of this system is not expected due to unfavorable upper-level winds and interaction with islands of the Greater Antilles. However, locally heavy rainfall will continue over portions of the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hispaniola during the next day or so as it moves generally west-northwestward. This rainfall will spread across portions of the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas by Thursday as the system turns northwestward.
