The Western Atlantic High Pressure System is rebuilding across our area, with limited moisture converging on its southern edge in weak pulses. These pulses could bring isolated showers tonight and few showers during Sunday morning. Alternating with dry stable conditions, few cloud patches should bring occasional brief showers. Models indicate a trough should be approaching the island chain late
Tuesday into Wednesday.
North north-easterly moderate to fresh (20 - 40km/h) breeze expected tonight with the building Western Atlantic High Pressure System. By late Monday, fresh to occasionally strong (30 – 50 km/h) breeze with higher gusts nearing moderate gale (50 - 61km/h) strength during Tuesday.
Slight to moderate sea conditions (1.0 – 1.8m) are expected across SVG, gradually rising in response to increasing wind speeds. Wave heights could peak near 1.8 on the west coast and near 2.7m on east coast by late Tuesday and expected to be falling by late Thursday.
Barometric readings should range 1013 – 1015mb, occasionally rising to 1017mb.
A Plume of dust across the Atlantic Ocean is being steered by the Western Atlantic High Pressure System, with the main mass approaching the South America coastal areas during Sunday. Thin dust patches could occasionally be noticed on the horizon. From late Sunday, slight haze is expected to create hazy conditions on Monday, with PM2.5 values expected to peak near 24µg/m3 for and PM10 values nearing 35µg/m3 during Monday afternoon, becoming patchy by nightfall before thinning out late Tuesday….JMCD
