The Atlantic High Pressure System will remain the dominant feature across the island chain during the next 24 hours, generating breezy conditions along with brief occasional showers.
By Wednesday, a tropical wave moving near 17 mph (27 km/h) is expected to affect potions of the Lesser Antilles including SVG. Due to dry Saharan dust haze around the environment of the wave, showers are expected to be occasional, and light to moderate in intensity.
Easterly to South-easterly winds ranging between 20 to 40 km/h (12 to 25 mph) are forecast to continue across our area. However, occasional gusts to near 45 km/h (28 mph) may accompany shower activity.
Slight to moderate easterly seas ranging between 1.0 to 2.0 meters (3.0 to 7.0 feet) are expected during the next 72 hours.
The above mentioned layer of Saharan dust haze is forecast to move over the island chain by tomorrow, and linger into the weekend.
Additionally, another tropical wave located over the Eastern Atlantic is expected to approach our area by late Friday, the end of this forecast period.
