A low-level trough crossing the extreme Southern Windward Islands tonight/early Tuesday could spread occasional showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), with possible isolated thunderstorms as mid-upper levels give occasional support. Moisture and instability could linger across our islands Tuesday and Wednesday and decrease during Thursday.

Expect gentle to moderate (15 - 25 km/h) north-easterly breeze this afternoon, becoming north north-easterly

and increasing slightly tonight. Wind directions should turn east south-easterly by Tuesday afternoon with gentle (10 – 20 km/h) breeze, increasing by Thursday.

Rising wave heights with northerly swells ranging 1.2 to 2.5m are propagating towards our islands from a Low Pressure area in the North Atlantic Ocean. Sea-bathers and small-craft operators should be extremely cautious. Wave heights could fall during Tuesday and Wednesday then become moderate to possibly rough late Wednesday, in response to increased wind speeds with a building Atlantic High Pressure circulation.
