Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave will continue to produce cloudiness, occasional light to moderate showers with a low chance of thunderstorm activity over the islands during the next 12 – 18 hours.

Meanwhile, The National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to issue advisories on Tropical Depression 13 presently located over the Central Atlantic. On its present track, the center of Tropical Depression 13 is forecast to pass just north of the Leeward Islands on Friday evening as a tropical storm. This system is expected to produce possible moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorm across the Eastern Caribbean, including SVG during its passage.

Additionally, the NHC is also issuing advisories on recently formed Tropical Depression 14 located over the Caribbean Sea. This system does not pose a threat to SVG.

Easterly winds ranging between 15 km/h to 30 km/h are forecast during today. However, a reduction between 10 km/h to 25 km/h is expected on Friday before increasing to near 40 km/h from a southeasterly direction on Saturday.

Slight to moderate easterly seas ranging between 1.0 to 1.5 meters (3.0 to 5.0 feet) will continue during the next 48 hours before increasing to near 3.0 meters (10.0 feet) by early Saturday.

No significant Saharan dust haze intrusion is expected during this forecast period.
