Moisture levels are fluctuating across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), and periods of high levels coupled with a favourable upper level environment are likely to result in moderate showers with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms during the next 24 hours. After which, a south easterly wind flow generally will allow for some moisture from the equatorial regions to move across SVG resulting in a few scattered showers Monday night into Tuesday.
Presently, an approaching tropical wave does not look impressive and is forecast to affect SVG around late Tuesday night into Wednesday; however, the upper levels are likely to lend support once again resulting in a few moderate showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms around Wednesday.
A light to slightly moderate wind speed (10kmh- 25km/h) will move across the islands, becoming mostly from the south east from Monday evening. From Tuesday evening, wind speeds are forecast to slightly increase to approximately 15km/h – 30km/h and blow predominantly from the east north east (ENE).
Sea conditions will be slight to moderate (1.0m-1.5m) during the next 72 hours. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
