Scattered moderate showers with isolated thunderstorms will continue this morning as a tropical wave affects the islands. As the wave moves away from the island chain, and upper levels become less favourable, a decrease in shower activity will be noticeable as the afternoon progress, becoming mostly dry by tonight.

Saturday is forecast to be mostly fair. Another tropical wave will be approaching the islands around Sunday. Initially, most of the convection will be confined to the south, and only a few occasional showers will move across SVG around Sunday, with moderate to possibly heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms forecast for Monday.

Generally breezy conditions (20km/h-40km/h) will persist over the next 72 hours, flowing predominantly from the east, backing to east north east (ENE) from around Saturday evening.

Consequently, sea conditions will deteriorate with swells peaking to 2.5m on the eastern coasts and 1.5m on the western coasts from this afternoon and over the next couple of days. Small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. In addition, slight haze will move across the islands but with no significant effect.
