Dry and stable conditions persist, with a chance for isolated showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) by early morning Wednesday. A few showers are likely Wednesday night and during Thursday, as moisture converges across our area with weak unstable conditions. More showers can be expected across SVG Friday afternoon into the night, due to unstable conditions on the southern edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System.
Gentle to moderate (‘~10 – 25 km/h) easterly breeze across our islands could occasionally become light (‘~5 – 10 km/h) during Wednesday and turn north-easterly. A gradual increase is possible Wednesday night (up to 30 km/h), becoming temporarily gentle (‘~10 – 20 km/h)
during Friday.
Slight to moderate sea-conditions with north-easterly sea-swells are across our islands; ranging 0.5 m to 1.0 m on western coasts and near 1.5 m on eastern coasts. Long-period waves which could cause life-threatening surf and rip currents are likely along SVG coasts tonight and during Wednesday, retreating during Thursday…Mariners and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution…East north-easterly swells are expected Friday, with slight (1.0 – 1.2 m) sea-conditions across SVG by the evening.
