The Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature across the islands and the film of Saharan dust is expected to clear-out across our area by early Tuesday. Over the next couple days, convergence of low-level clouds could occasionally bring a few showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). An approaching tropical wave could break the dry conditions across SVG towards the end of this week. Cloudiness and shower activity is expected to increase during Friday.
Moderate to fresh (25 – 35 km/h) east north-easterly trades are across our islands and gusts near 40 km/h are likely tonight. Wind direction could turn east south-easterly by Tuesday afternoon with gentle
to moderate (15 – 25 km/h) breeze. Wind directions could vary during Wednesday, becoming moderate to fresh by evening, with an east south-easterly flow again on Thursday.
Slight sea-conditions with east north-easterly swells range 1.2 m to 1.5 m on western coasts and moderate sea-conditions with east south-easterly swells range 1.5 m to 2.0 m on eastern coasts, becoming easterly by Tuesday. A gradual fall in swell heights across SVG is expected; ranging 0.5 m to 1.2 m on western coasts and 1.2 m to 1.5 m on eastern coasts by Thursday.
