As a tropical wave approaches the region, occasional cloud patches with a few showers are moving across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Increased cloudiness and scattered showers are likely across the Grenadine Islands by early Friday, spreading towards mainland St. Vincent during the afternoon. Mid-upper level features could support unstable conditions; with periods of light rain, moderate/heavy showers and isolated thunderstorm activity across SVG by evening and during Saturday…Residents and motorists should exercise caution in areas with rain-soaked ash and be alert near rivers and streams. Meanwhile, the film of Saharan dust could thicken across our area to create moderate hazy conditions by
late Saturday and intermix with lingering shower activity during the night and on Sunday.

Moderate to fresh (20 – 35 km/h) easterly wind-flow continues across our islands, increasing near 40 km/h at times and turning east south-easterly by Friday afternoon. Wind direction could turn north-easterly by Saturday night and a temporary reduction (15 – 25 km/h) in speeds may be noticeable during Sunday and wind directions could turn east south-easterly again.
Slight sea-conditions with north-easterly swells range 1.0 m to 1.5 m on western coasts and moderate sea-conditions with easterly swells range 1.5 m to 1.8 m on eastern coasts.
