Moderate to heavy showers with chance of thunderstorms are forecast for today, Sunday across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as a tropical wave affects the islands.  Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides, and near rivers and streams are asked to exercise caution.  Showers from time to time will linger into Monday. Dry air intrusion will result in mostly fair conditions from Monday night into Tuesday, and occasional scattered showers are forecast from around Tuesday night into Wednesday.

In addition, it will be breezy throughout Sunday and into the week. Winds are forecast to become south easterly from this afternoon at 30km/h-45km/h, turning easterly from Sunday night into Monday. Expect a decrease in wind speeds around Tuesday and Wednesday (15km/h-30km/h). Meanwhile, Saharan haze intrusion of varying concentration will be lingering around, to thin out around Tuesday.

Small craft operators and sea bathers should be prepared for above normal sea swells and gusty winds as seas remain moderate to rough in open waters (1.5m on the western coasts, 3.0m on the eastern coasts). These marine conditions may persist through Monday, with a gradual improvement around Tuesday as wind speeds decrease.
