A broad and fast moving tropical wave continues to affect the islands and occasional moderate scattered showers are likely tonight with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. Similar conditions are likely on Sunday with increased activity highly probable towards evening and into Monday. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert.  The chance of showers decreases from Monday afternoon into Tuesday as the Atlantic high pressure regains dominance.

Moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) east to east north easterly(E) trades will cross the islands over the next 24 hours. An increase(25-40km/h) in wind speed is expected around Sunday night into Monday. During this time winds could turn east south easterly occasionally. Seas will remain slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts and between 2.0m to 2.2m on the eastern coasts. There is the likelihood that seas can deteriorate during Monday, and Tuesday with the increase of wind speeds. In addition, Saharan haze intrusion is forecast to limit air quality during Monday.
