Cloudy conditions would persist along with some scattered showers as a tropical wave moves further westward from the island chain tonight. By late afternoon Saturday, additional moisture is expected to cross our islands as another tropical wave begins to affect SVG. Showers; some of which may be moderate to heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. Similar activity is expected to persist into and along Sunday as instability continues. However, the chance of showers decreases on Monday.
A gentle to moderate(15-25km/h) east north east would become east south easterly late tonight(Friday). A general easterly to east south easterly flow would become the pattern over the weekend before reverting to east north easterly on Monday. Seas will be slight to moderate in open waters, with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts, and ranging between 1.5m – 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Hazy conditions would continue across the islands, thinning out early Sunday. Concentrations may increase again late afternoon Monday.
