A tropical wave is approaching the islands and it is expected to generate occasional cloudy skies and scattered showers along Friday. The chance of moderate to heavy showers with thunderstorm activity increases late Friday into Saturday. Residents and motorists are advised to remain alert. The SVG Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the progress of this wave. In addition, lingering instability may instigate some passing showers early Sunday before a ridge pattern rebuilds, bringing an improvement to the weather conditions by late afternoon.

Easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands over the weekend and a generally moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) pattern is anticipated across the chain. A slight decrease (15-25km/h) is expected on Sunday. Seas will remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells peaking up to 1.0m on the western coasts and ranging between 1.5m - 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Saharan dust intrusion of varying concentrations will continue to linger across SVG, thinning out around Sunday.
