A weak tropical wave could trigger a few passing showers across our islands on Tuesday with occasional showers likely on Wednesday due to lingering instability behind this wave. The potential for moderate to showers and isolated thunderstorms increases on Thursday as another tropical wave affects our islands. The SVG Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the progress of this wave and provide the necessary updates.

Moderate to fresh(25-35km/h) east north easterly trades will cross SVG tonight, gradually increasing and occasionally becoming strong(near 40km/h) on Wednesday. Winds should start decreasing(15-25km/h)y by mid-afternoon Thursday.

Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.0m on the western coasts and peaking near 2.2m on the eastern coasts. Seas could further deteriorate as winds speeds increase over the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze are expected across the islands over the next few days
