A depression in the Atlantic is causing the pressure gradient to weaken, allowing for light wind speeds across our area. In addition, an east south easterly wind flow would transfer equatorial moisture to our islands. Consequently, warm conditions are expected over the next few days although afternoons may be interrupted by localised shower activity accompanied by isolated thunderstorms. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert.

Gentle(10-15km/h) east to east south easterly trades would cross the islands over the next few days, decreasing(<10km/h) further on Tuesday. A slight increase(15-20km/h) is expected for Wednesday. Seas are slight on western coasts peaking up to 1.0 m and moderate on eastern coasts peaking up to 1.5 m. Seas are expected to become slight(0.5m - 1.2m) from tonight as the light wind regime continues. Varying Saharan dust concentrations will traverse our area over the next 3 days.
