Low to mid-level moisture coupled with a marginally favorable mid to upper atmosphere resulted in pockets of moderate to heavy showers across parts of SVG during the last 24 hours. Maximum rainfall accumulations of 71.3 mm and 65.8 mm were recorded at CWSA’s Jennings and South Rivers stations respectively during the overnight period.

The latest model guidance suggests a high probability of occasional showers in the upcoming days due to lingering moisture and instability over our area. However, by late Sunday a gradual drying out of the atmosphere is expected, thus resulting in a decrease in shower activity.

Light to gentle (10-25 km/h) east northeast to east winds can be expected during the forecast period.

Seas conditions will remain slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.0 on western coasts and 1.5 meters on eastern coasts.
