Weather Outlook 16th January 2020 (12 noon)

Weak unstable conditions across the islands are resulting in occasional cloudy skies with some moderate showers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Overnight showers across SVG were replaced with fair skies by mid-morning. Weak low level-troughs could bring a few scattered showers across our islands during Friday and late Saturday into Sunday.

Wind speeds are decreasing and moderate to fresh (20 - 35km/h) east northeasterly breeze are expected by tonight into Friday. As the Atlantic High Pressure System rebuilds, an increase to possibly strong (up to 50 km/h) breeze is possible Saturday night.

Northeasterly swells ranging 1.5m to 2.5 m are across our islands, but should be slight to moderate (1.0 – 2.0m) during Friday and Saturday. Wave heights could rise again late Saturday and are expected to be moderate to rough (2.0 – 3.0 m) again Sunday night with northerly swell…Marine advisories/warnings may become necessary...
