Weather Outlook - 30th September 2022(6pm)

Unstable conditions will continue to affect the islands tonight and generally cloudy skies are likely to be accompanied by scattered moderate showers and thunderstorm activity. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding or near rivers and streams should continue to exercise caution.  The chance of showers decreases as Saturday progresses as a weak ridge pattern attempts to dominate the weather pattern across our islands. On Sunday, warm conditions are anticipated but by nightfall a tropical wave inches closer our islands. This wave is expected to affect SVG by mid Monday.

Gentle to moderate(15-25 km/h)south easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 48 hours before becoming easterly to east north easterly from Sunday. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and near 1.5m on eastern coasts. Light concentrations of Saharan dust haze is forecast to traverse the islands within the next three days.
