Weather Outlook - 23rd November 2022(6pm)
With the aid of a favourable upper level environment, a trough system will continue to generate cloudy to overcast skies and trigger pockets of showers, light rain and isolated thunderstorms across SVG. As a result, a flash flood watch remains in effect for SVG until 6pm Thursday 24th November 2022. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides and near rivers and streams should exercise caution. Models suggest that there is a high probability for improvement as the weekend approaches.
Generally moderate to fresh(25-35km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands within the next few days with higher gusts near showers. As a result sea conditions would be moderate in open water with swell heights peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and up to 2.5m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells, occasional gusty winds and reduced visibility in showers. In addition, varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will continue to cross our islands within the next few days.
