A passing tropical wave will maintain cloudy skies, showers and thunderstorms along Thursday afternoon/evening. A few pockets of showers are expected occasionally on Friday as instability trails the wave. As Saturday progresses, a few passing showers are anticipated and relatively fair conditions are likely by mid Sunday.

Moderate to fresh (20-30km/h) south easterly to east south easterly trades with gusts near showers are currently crossing the islands. A shift to east north easterly is expected on Saturday.

Marine conditions are presently moderate with swells ranging from 1.5m to 2.2m across our islands. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Sea conditions could improve from Saturday. Saharan dust haze concentrations should be moderate and noticeable across our islands within the next few days, reducing visibility and air quality.
