Moisture levels are increasing across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) due to a trough system/unstable conditions. Mostly cloudy skies, periods of light-moderate rain, moderate-heavy showers and thunderstorms could increase tonight, lingering during Friday and over the weekend. Rainfall accumulations and soil saturation could vary across our islands…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be prepared. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust create a film/slight haze across our area.

Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) north-easterly trades become gusty (~ 35km/h) at times and directions vary between east north-east and east south-east on Friday and during the weekend.

Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 1.0m - 2.0m across our islands…Exercise caution during Friday and Sunday as gusty winds could agitate seas.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor tropical developments and issue updates/advisories as necessary.
