Cloud cover and showers and thunderstorm activity across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) decreased during this morning. Relatively dry/stable conditions are expected this afternoon and during Saturday as dry air associated with varying concentrations of Saharan dust limits shower activity and creates slight-moderate haze across our area. Late Saturday and during Sunday, low-level clouds could trigger a few scattered showers across our islands.

Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) east south-easterly breeze across our islands, gradually decrease during the weekend and become light-occasionally moderate (10 - 20km/h) by Monday.

Marine conditions across our islands are moderate in open water, with rising swells (1.5m - 2.5m) tonight and during Saturday. Additionally, an area of low pressure in the Atlantic Ocean is propagating northerly long period waves which could reach our shores by Saturday night and occasionally break with life-threatening surf and rip currents…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution.
