A Flash-Flood Warning remains in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines until 6:00 am, 2nd November, 2020

Showers, rain and thunderstorms are forecast across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the remainder of the day. This is due to the presence of a low level trough coupled with favourable upper levels across the region.
Gust near showers, of approximately 45km/h- 70km/h associated with this instability are forecast from this afternoon into Monday morning. Model guidance is indicating about 2 inches (~ 50mm) of rainfall during the next 12 hours period. Therefore, a flash- flood warning remains in effect until 6:00 am, 2nd November, 2020.
Persons are asked to remain vigilant and to take precautionary measures to protect life and property, as soils are already saturated, and loose objects can become airborne as winds become gusty near showers. In addition, small craft operators should continue to exercise caution for reduced visibility near showers and for above normal sea- swells and gusty winds.
A gradual improvement, i.e. a decrease in shower activity, is forecast as the night progress, with lingering moisture into Monday morning, triggering a few early morning showers.
A flash- flood warning is issued when flooding is imminent or is already occurring.
