The Atlantic High Pressure System will remain the dominant feature across the island chain during the next 12 hours, generating brisk winds along with occasional passing showers.

By tonight into Tuesday, an approaching low level trough is expected to move over the southern part of the region. As a result, occasional cloudy skies and light to moderate showers can be expected across our islands into early Wednesday.

Thereafter, a gradual improvement in the weather conditions can be expected, as the Atlantic High Pressure System re-establishes itself across the islands.

East north-easterly to Easterly winds ranging between 20 to 40 km/h (12 to 25 mph) are expected during the next 72 hours.

Moderate sea swells are forecast with swells peaking near 2.5 meters (8.0 feet). Small-craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.

No Saharan dust haze is expected during this forecast period.
