Slightly breezy conditions should persist across the islands over the next few days, increasing in strength near the weekend. Fair to partly cloudy skies are expected on Friday, whereas unstable conditions could trigger a few showers on Saturday. A mixture of sunshine and cloudy skies are anticipated for Sunday as a weak shearline crosses the mainland. Due to the shallow moisture that exists, any shower activity over the next 72 hours should be brief.
Moderate to fresh(20-30km/h) trades will move across the islands within the next 24 hours maintaining an east north easterly flow. Winds should slightly increase(~35km/h) and become east south easterly on Saturday before returning to east northeasterly on Sunday while increasing(~40km/h).
Seas will remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells peaking at 1.2m on the western coasts, and 2.2m on the eastern coasts. A temporary improvement(1.0m-2.0m) in sea conditions is likely on Friday but swells could begin to deteriorate(1.5m-2.2m) from Saturday as wind speeds increase. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
