A tropical wave will move across the south today without much fanfare across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Unstable conditions from this wave will likely affect the Grenadines generating a few showers.  Mostly cloudy skies today and scattered showers by Friday are forecast for the mainland. By Saturday night, another wave will be in the vicinity, increasing moisture and the chance of some scattered showers around Sunday.

It should be noted that the mid-levels are dry, and there are no significant features at upper levels to enhance these low level instabilities, and based on model guidance the highest chance of convective activity (showers and possible thunderstorms) is forecast for around Sunday. Expect breezy conditions into the weekend, with easterly winds between 25km/h-40km/h, and moderate haze intrusion limiting visibility and reducing air quality by Saturday into Sunday.  Seas will be generally moderate on both the eastern and western coasts with swells ranging between 1.2-1.5m on the western coasts and 2.2-2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution.
