Saharan dust intrusion of varying concentrations will continue to linger across the island chain for the remainder of the week, reducing air quality and also decreasing the chance of showers. Fair to occasionally cloudy, hazy and breezy conditions with isolated showers will prevail across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the remainder of the day. Expect similar conditions on Wednesday. Two tropical waves are in the Central Atlantic.
The first is forecast to affect SVG around Wednesday night. The moisture associated with this wave is not impressive and the Grenadine Islands are likely to receive a few scattered showers. Thursday is forecast to be mostly cloudy and by Thursday night, there is the chance of some moderate showers as the other tropical wave begins to affect the island.
Winds will generally be from the east (E) at approximately 20km/h-35km/h, backing to east north-east (ENE) on occasions. Seas will remain slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts and ranging between 2.0m – 2.3m on the eastern coasts during the next 72 hours period.
