Weather Outlook - 18th October 2021(6am)
A few light showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms are possible this morning as a tropical wave begins to affect the islands. Showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms are forecast to increase from Monday afternoon into Tuesday. After which, Wednesday is forecast to be dry, and more showers and thunderstorm activity are likely around Wednesday night as another tropical wave moves across the island. The Saint Vincent Meteorological Services will continue to monitor this wave and provide the necessary updates.
A light to moderate (10km/h-25km/h) easterly wind flow will move across the island during the next 24 hours, gradually increasing in speed to approximately 15km/h-30km/h by Wednesday. Sea conditions will remain slight with swells peaking at 0.5m on the western coasts and 1.0m on the eastern coasts. Moderate conditions are forecast for the east coasts by Wednesday as the winds gradually increase, with swells ranging between 1.2m-1.5m. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
