A ridge pattern would continue to dominate the weather pattern across the SVG. Therefore, fair to occasionally cloudy skies with a low chance of showers are expected for the remainder of Tuesday. An approaching shearline should begin to affect the islands from Wednesday morning and this increases the possibility of light to moderate showers that may linger into Thursday. However, conditions should improve by late evening.
Occasionally fresh(~30km/h) north easterly trades would cross the islands within the next 24 hours but wind speeds will become strong(near 40km/h) from Wednesday night. Seas are currently slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking to 1.0m on western coasts and ranging between 1.8m to 2.2m on eastern coasts. Seas could deteriorate from Wednesday night as wind speeds increase. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. No significant dust haze intrusion is anticipated for this forecast period.
