A ridge pattern would remain the dominant feature during this forecast period. A few showers are likely early during the early parts of Tuesday and Thursday as weak pulses within the wind flow crosses our islands. In addition, slight Saharan dust haze concentrations will cross our islands on Tuesday and increase by Wednesday, reducing air quality and visibility across our islands.
Moderate to fresh (~20-30 km/h) easterly trades are crossing our islands. An east south easterly shift is expected by Thursday afternoon before shifting to east north easterly from Wednesday. Seas are slight to moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.2m to 2.0m. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells.
