Breezy conditions will persist within the next 48 hours along with relatively fair conditions accompanied by brief light showers. Weak unstable conditions could affect the islands on Saturday allowing for a few showers. In addition, Saharan dust haze concentrations are crossing the islands reducing visibility and air quality. Some improvement is possible around Friday afternoon.
Moderate to fresh (~20-30 km/h) east south easterly to east north easterly trades will cross our islands this (Wednesday) afternoon. Winds should shift to easterly up to Friday and reduce in speeds by Saturday. Seas are moderate in open waters with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.0m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Swell heights could fall by Saturday bringing an improvement to sea conditions.
