A deep layered Low Pressure System over the Central Atlantic Ocean, has been generating large swells which are propagating southwards across the Lesser Antilles. Swells across St.Vincent and the Grenadines are expected to increase during today, becoming northerly on west and east coasts by this afternoon. Marine conditions are expected to deteriorate Friday evening with moderate to rough northerly sea-swells continuing Saturday. Conditions should start improving by late Sunday.

The small craft warning means that seas up to 3.0m (10ft) are expected to affect our marine area.

The High-Surf Advisory means that breaking wave action poses a threat to life and property within the surf zone.

Sea bathers and other users of the sea are also advised to stay out of the water during the next few days.

The High-Surf Advisory and Small-Craft Warning remain in effect for St.Vincent and the Grenadines until 6:00pm Sunday 10th December 2017.
