Weather Outlook - 11th October 2020 (6pm)
Occasional light to moderate showers are anticipated across St Vincent and the Grenadines this tonight (Sunday) as a low level trough continues to affect the region. Also, moderate showers are forecast mainly from Monday afternoon into Monday night as another trough affects the islands. The chance of shower activity decreases on Tuesday with warm conditions forecast. By late Tuesday night into Wednesday, a tropical wave that has a low chance of cyclone development inches closer to the island chain. Favourable upper level trough should exist around this time and this could aid in generating showers and isolated thunderstorms across SVG.
Moderate ESE trades (15-30km/h) will flow across the islands, over the next 24 hours. East north easterly winds (ENE) are anticipated ahead of the tropical wave on Tuesday night, becoming east south east around Wednesday as it passes. A brief spell of light to gentle(~5-15km/h) breeze is forecast on Wednesday morning.
Slight to moderate sea conditions are forecast (1.0m on the western coasts, 1.5m on the eastern coasts), with possible slight deterioration from Wednesday evening. Slightly hazy conditions may be visible on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the approaching wave.
