Occasional light to moderate showers will continue into tonight across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with a possible decrease in shower activity as the night progress. By Friday, a tropical wave (previously analysed as a surface trough) will be approaching the islands, to affect from around Friday night into Saturday. This coupled with favourable upper levels will result in moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms as Saturday progress. This instability will last into Sunday.
A moderate (15km/h-30km/h) east north-easterly (ENE) wind flow will move across the island chain tonight, becoming predominantly easterly and decreasing in speed (10km/h-20km/h) over the weekend.
Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in open waters, with swells peaking to 2.0m on the eastern coasts, and 1.0m on the western coasts during this 72 hours period. In addition, there will be slight haze intrusion on Friday, thinning out by Saturday.
