Patches of Saharan dust could create slight hazy conditions Friday, but significant rainfall accumulations are likely across SVG by evening with upper-level features enhancing showers and thunderstorm activity associated with a trough…Take precautions especially in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams...Unstable conditions could linger across our islands over the weekend.
Moderate to occasionally fresh (~25 – 40 km/h) east north-easterly trades are across our islands. Higher gusts are likely late Thursday, with a turn to easterly on Friday, decreasing to light and gentle and becoming south-easterly Saturday. Wind directions could turn north-easterly by night-fall.
Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands, with easterly sea-swells ranging 1.0 – 1.5 m on western coasts and nearing 2.0 m on eastern coasts. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution; as increased wind speeds could agitate seas to moderate conditions Thursday night, with east north-easterly swells nearing 1.8 m on western coasts and 2.2 m on eastern coasts, becoming slight to moderate again by Friday night.
