A few perturbations along the southwestern periphery of the Atlantic High pressure system is facilitating cloudy conditions and triggering occasional light to moderate showers. These conditions can be expected within the next 48 hours. Generally fair conditions should persist as Tuesday progresses.

Moderate to fresh (~20-30km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades are crossing our islands. Wind speeds should become east north easterly from Thursday and slightly increase (~20-35km/h) on Sunday. Seas are moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.0m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Sea conditions could improve along Tuesday. In addition, varying Saharan dust haze concentrations will begin to cross our islands from Sunday.
