A couple troughs (near 700 mb) are expected across the area. Occasionally cloudy skies with scattered showers can be expected, mixing with hazy conditions Wednesday with passage of a trough. While dust concentrations could inhibit some shower activity, increased mid level moisture Wednesday night,
followed by supportive upper level conditions on Thursday, could maintain unstable conditions as lower level moisture positions under an upper level supportive jet stream. Residents and motorists should be alert/exercise due caution as models indicate rainfall accumulations of 1 inch - 2 inches are possible across SVG over the next couple days. Moisture levels should be decreasing on Friday.
Moderate breeze (20-35km/h) should veer east south-easterly by Wednesday afternoon.
Mean sea-level pressure should range 1016-1018 mb as the Central Atlantic High Pressure is joined by Western Atlantic High Pressure, with slight decrease possible Thursday (1014-1017 mb) with passage of second trough. Sea swells from the ENE are expected to be slight to moderate tonight into Wednesday, rising again on Thursday to peak 1.5 m - 2.5 m (west and east coasts) by Friday.
Patches of dust concentration of varying intensity across the islands are occasionally reducing visibility. Dust concentrations (20-40 µg/m3) are now expected to thicken Thursday behind the trough.
