Weather Discussion:
Weak unstable conditions are supporting cloudy skies, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert…Over the next few days, moisture levels could remain elevated with occasional cloudy skies and a few/ scattered showers. The slight haze across our area today is due to a patch of Saharan dust, possibly thinning to an occasional film of haze tomorrow (Sunday) and clearing by Tuesday.
Gentle-moderate (10 - 25km/h) breeze across our islands vary in direction between north-east and east south-east in some locations. Wind speeds could become occasionally fresh (~30km/h) especially near showers.
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 1.0m to 1.5m west of our islands and up to 2.0m east of our islands. A temporary increase in wind speeds could agitate sea conditions during Monday…Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal swells.
