Northern point of mainland St.Vincent had some shower during the day due to a wake cloud off the west coast of Barbados. Meanwhile, winds varied from north-east to south south-east this afternoon at our Argyle Station and moderate to fresh (20-40km/h) breeze are expected overnight and over the next few days, as the Central Atlantic High Pressure dominates.

Also, a mass of Sahara Dust is just east of the islands, with occasional patches crossing to result in hazy conditions while inhibiting significant shower activity.

A low to mid level shearline could develop across the islands late Saturday, but dry air associated with the Sahara dust mass (near/above 800 mb) could continue to inhibit shower activity... few isolated showers are possible. By late Sunday into Monday, lower level instability should increase the chance for showers across our islands (models suggest near 2 inches).

Mean sea-level pressure should increase to range 1014 to 1016 mb overnight, rising further to 1016-1018 mb on Saturday into the new week as the Central Atlantic High Pressure dominates.

Sea swells from the ENE are expected to be moderate (1.5m on west to 2.5m on east) tonight, gradually falling to slight to moderate 1.2 m - 2.0 m) late Sunday.
