Weak unstable conditions are affecting our islands generating cloudy conditions with occasional showers. Fair conditions are anticipated on Thursday before a shearline increases the chance of showers as evening approaches. Unstable conditions associated with this feature would maintain cloudy skies as the week closes.
Gentle to moderate (~15-25km/h) east north-easterly trades are currently crossing our islands. Wind speeds should increase to fresh (~35kmh) from Friday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water ranging between 1.0m to 2.0m, rising by Friday evening. Long period waves are anticipated across the next 3 days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells, dangerous rip currents and breaking wave action near the shoreline. Saharan dust haze concentrations should be noticeable across our area along Friday.
