The Atlantic high pressure system is dominant across our islands, allowing for fair to occasionally cloudy skies under breezy conditions. Weak pulses could trigger some passing showers across the weekend but activity is expected to be short lived. Saharan dust haze concentrations should increase from Friday, further reducing visibility and air quality across our islands. A temporarily thinning out early may be noticeable early Sunday.
Moderate to fresh (~25-35 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing our islands with temporary gusts. Seas are moderate in open waters ranging between at 1.5 and 1.8m on the western coasts and near 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds.
