Weather Discussion:
The Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature, with occasional brisk winds across the islands. On the southern edge of the High Pressure System, cloud patches are likely to converge across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) with light-moderate showers over the weekend. Meanwhile, a layer of Saharan dust with varying concentrations could create slight/moderate-haze across our area at times.
Moderate-fresh (25 - 35km/h) breeze continues across our islands, with wind directions ranging from northeast to easterly in some locations. Wind speeds could become occasionally gusty (35 - 40km/h) during the nights and mornings…Be Alert!
Sea conditions are currently slight-moderate in open water, with swells near 1.2m west of our islands and 2.0m east of our islands. Swell heights are rising, possibly ranging 1.5m to 1.8m west of our islands and 2.0m to 2.5m east of our islands during Saturday…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for reduced visibility in moderate dust-haze, occasional gusty winds and above normal sea-swells.
