Weak low level shear-lines on the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure occasionally cross the island chain with few scattered showers. A trough is expected at the mid-levels on Thursday with isolated showers, but dry air behind the trough axis should be noticeable overnight Thursday.
Friday afternoon into the night, some moisture could converge across our area as an inverted trough supports lower level moisture on the south western edge of the High Pressure. Models indicate increased chances for rainfall accumulation, while such may be negated by subsident dry upper levels.
High Pressure System dominates the Atlantic Ocean, while a persistent broad and elongated area of low pressure (1010 mb) is analyzed in the Eastern North Pacific near 1100 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. The High Pressure System should be shifted eastward on Saturday with shower activity decreasing.. at the mid-levels along with un-favourable upper levels.
Moderate to fresh (20-38km/h) breeze should continue over the next few days, becoming possibly strong briefly early morning Saturday.
Mean sea-level pressure should range 1015-1018mb and sea swells from the ENE are expected to peak near 1.5m on the west and 2.5m on east over next few days, with possible fall (1.2m on west coasts and 2.0m on east coasts) on Friday.
Dust concentrations of varying intensity continue to affect our islands occasionally reducing visibility.
