Weather Discussion:
On the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System, weak unstable conditions are maintaining occasional cloudy skies with a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG)…Residents and motorists should exercise caution. Saharan dust concentrations could vary, with slight-haze thickening to moderate/thick-haze and reducing visibility across our area by Tuesday evening.
Moderate (~ 25km/h) breeze across our islands could increase occasionally nearing 30 km/h. Wind directions are expected to vary from east northeast to east southeast in some locations.
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 0.5m to 1.0m west of our islands and up to 1.8m east of our islands. Swell heights are expected to range 1.0m to 2.0m across SVG by Monday. Meanwhile, small-craft operators should exercise caution for reduced visibility (poor) due to moderate/thick dust-haze by Tuesday evening.
