A ridge pattern is dominant across SVG, allowing for fair to partly cloudy skies and a few passing showers. Meanwhile, a tropical wave inches closer to our islands and could trigger pockets of moderate showers under breezy conditions on Thursday. Activity could spread to the Grenadines by evening. On Friday a ridge pattern should dominate the conditions before occasional cloudy skies dominate on Saturday with a few showers.

Moderate to fresh (~20-30km/h) east north easterly trades are currently crossing our islands. A slight increase (~35km/h) in speed is expected from Thursday with a shift to east south easterly. Consequently, seas will become moderate in open water with swells ranging between 1.5 m to 2.5m. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells. Saharan dust haze intrusion is expected on Thursday and will gradually thicken by Friday night reducing visibility and air quality across our islands.
