Weather Discussion:
The Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature, with isolated/a few showers possible across St. Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG). A gradual increase in showers can be expected Sunday, as a moisture surge crosses the islands and thunderstorm activity is possible by evening/night…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert…Patches of Saharan dust could create a film/slight-haze across our area at times.
Moderate-fresh (25 - 35km/h) breeze across our islands could peak near 40km/h during night-times and wind directions vary from northeast to east in some locations.
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells near 1.0m(3ft) west of our islands and 2.0m(6.5ft) east of our islands. Swell heights are expected to rise, nearing 1.5m(5ft) west of our islands and 2.5m(8ft) east of our islands by Sunday…Small-craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for rising swells (above normal) and occasional gusty winds, especially during night-times.
